Danish-style beef burgers with cheese and liver cream sauce

Danish-style burgers with cheese in a delicious liver and cream sauce. A perfect nutritious evening meal that is both cost effecive, satiating and good for you.

 500 g good quality ground beef
 10 g lard
 5 g cheese slices - emmental depicted
 5 g liver powder
 20 ml pouring cream

Take your good quality burger mince and mould into fist-sized balls.

Compress until compact

Criss-cross the surface with a knife into a thick patty shape

Brown lightly in a frying pan with beef dripping from a previous cook up - or butter if not.

Place burgers into a warm oven at 150 degrees for 10-15 mins for a nice pink centre.

Make the sauce from residual fat in the frying pan - add cream and 1-2 dessert spoons of liver powder - simmer slowly and add seasoning to taste.

When the burgers are good to devour, plop them in the sauce in a bowl and your comforting meal is ready for your delictation.
